Lebara: scaling the MVNO enterprise

The Lebara Group was founded in 2001 to offer tailored innovative telecommunications solutions so that families, friends and colleagues can keep in touch, both at home & abroad. As a rapidly-expanding MVNO, Lebara Group were committed to overseas growth and needed help to scale their supporting IT capabilities to enable them to expand their footprint into new countries.

After the initial review, we were then engaged on a 12-month programme to work with team, providing programme management, design/architecture and business analysis capabilities to support the planned changes.

Project Scope:

Following an initial review, Mosaic Island were engaged to determine a target blueprint and roadmap that would support a multi-country operation. The first step was to assess the current state, and then define an achievable and affordable target architecture.

STABLE

Stability of business supporting capabilities

Our Approach:

  • Current state definition.
  • Blueprint for scalable architecture and roadmap.
  • 12 month delivery programme.
  • Interim CIO.

Results:

  • IT strategy for business scalability.
  • Platform stability.
  • Removal of system and process bottlenecks.
  • Lebara were able to roll out to their planned country footprint and almost doubled their turnover in less than two years.

To meet the ambitious growth plans at Lebara, a significant redesign of our enterprise platforms was needed to enable scale and stability. We turned to Mosaic Island who had exactly the right skills and experience to provide the design leadership for this exercise. Mosaic Island was very effective because their team really knew what they were doing and were easy to work with. I would hire them again
