I was keen to 'jump the fence' and use my expertise gained in agency to help an IT business save money on agency spend. I was intrigued by the business and liked how much they valued their people.
I was made to feel very valuable when I was offered the role - they were very accommodating with my requirements and I even got an invite to the Christmas Party so I could meet everybody, just a week later! I couldn't wait to join after that!
My role involves looking after our People and Commercial Operations - so my day can be very varied. I might spend time looking through a new client contract, working with the Talent Acquisition Team on some new hires, HR operations, or preparing for a board meeting!

My career has progressed rapidly since joining Mosaic Island. I initially joined as a Talent Acquisition Consultant, responsible for all of our permanent hires, I was then promoted to Talent Acquisition Manager 6 months later, where I introduced a number of key processes to improve efficiency and reduce time to hire. Fast forward 4 years and I have recently been promoted to Commercial & People Director! I've had fantastic support since joining and have always been encouraged to use my skills and experience to solve problems and just 'crack on’ !
We won "Bronze Winner - Recruitment Team - Technology Sector" Award at the In House Recruitment Awards ceremony in 2018. This was achieved through significantly growing our recruitment capability, making on average of 65 hires per year without the use of any external agencies! We also increased the skilled engagement leadership team capacity by over 40%.
