Steve is one of our hugely experienced Consulting Architects. He joined Mosaic Island in 2018 having worked previously with an impressive range of organisations in the IT sector. Prior to this he served in the Army and is a passionate member of the service community, volunteering as a caseworker for SSAFA, the Armed Forces Charity.
I was keen to work for a smaller organisation after spending a significant amount of time on large projects and programmes. Mosaic Island offered a mix of architecture and consulting and the chance to work as part of a small team again.
I think I'd pretty much made my mind up within the first week once I'd met everyone and could see what a great working environment Mosaic Island had. Being taken out to lunch by the MD also helped!!
I've worked on a range of different engagements since joining but typically these have involved things like client meetings to help drive out requirements to support our client projects. Maybe some time spent with other colleagues reviewing notes and sketching out some high level thoughts before formulising our approach and end solution.
For me it's all about the flexibility. I am used to working remotely and I treasure this freedom. I also like the fact that the management structure is very flat and that there is very close interaction with everyone across the company, regardless of their position.
We are fortunate enough to be well respected in a number of different industries but of particular note for me would be in and around music licensing. I have never previously worked in this industry but I have thoroughly enjoyed our engagements with the organisations that support our music creators and the copyright and licensing bodies
If you're are looking for a good flexible team environment where everyone knows each other and you want to work with experienced architects and consultants and influence business outcomes, then Mosaic Island is the place for you!
