Zohra is one of the newest members of the Mosaic Island team, joining as a Consulting Architect in September 2019. She brought with her a wealth of experience from a career in IT consulting and telecoms, from analysis and design to solution and enterprise architecture and everything in between.
I first heard about Mosaic Island from an ex-colleague of mine who had worked with Matt and David (the Mosaic Island Directors) back in their Orange days. He told me how great it was to work with them, he introduced me to Matt, and here I am!
It was actually during the recruitment process, when Jeremy, the Director of Delivery, asked me to join the "Mosaic Island Family". The prospect of working with smart, trustworthy, kind, inclusive and supportive people was music to my ears.
I wouldn’t say that there is a typical day, variety is the name of the game. You have to adapt to the needs of the client you are working with. However, there is some commonality in the ways of working; client calls, travelling to client site or having internal discussions with the SMEs here at Mosaic Island.
The organisational structure is flat, there is a feeling that we are one team and there is no hierarchy as such. Obviously we have roles, responsibilities and areas of expertise however, everyone is approachable and amenable. We value our team spirit, collaboration and openness.
My first engagement was working with our Consulting experts to develop a Design governance process and collateral for a large digitisation programme in the London insurance market. The work was challenging and enjoyable. We worked well with the client who accepted our recommendations and asked us to continue on the programme to run the Design governance.
If you want to work with people who are intelligent, kind, fun, and versatile in bringing together their knowledge to solve problems, then Mosaic Island is for you.
